Efficient Massive Machine Type Communication (mMTC) via AMP

چکیده
We propose efficient and low-complexity multiuser detection (MUD) algorithms for Gaussian multiple access channel (G-MAC) short-packet transmission in massive machine type communications. To do so, we first formulate the G-MAC MUD problem as a sparse signal recovery obtain exact approximate joint prior distribution of vector to be recovered. Then, employ Bayesian message passing (AMP) with optimal separable non-separable minimum mean squared error (MMSE) denoisers soft decoding vector. The effectiveness proposed large number devices is supported by simulation results. For packets 8 information bits, while state-of-the-art AMP soft-threshold denoising achieves 8/100 upper bound at $E_{b}/N_{0}=4 {\mathrm{ dB}}$ , reach 4/7 1/2 bound.

متن کاملDistributed Learning for Low Latency Machine Type Communication in a Massive Internet of Things
The Internet of Things (IoT) will encompass a massive number of machine type devices that must wirelessly transmit, in near real-time, a diverse set of messages sensed from their environment. Designing resource allocation schemes to support such coexistent, heterogeneous communication is hence a key IoT challenge. In particular, there is a need for self-organizing resource allocation solutions ...
متن کاملEfficient Semantic Communication via Compatible Beliefs
In previous works, Juba and Sudan [6] and Goldreich, Juba and Sudan [4] considered the idea of “semantic communication”, wherein two players, a user and a server, attempt to communicate with each other without any prior common language (or communication) protocol. They showed that if communication was goal-oriented and the user could sense progress towards the goal (or verify when it has been a...
